Who? Anspach & Hobday is an uncompromising brewery from London that makes craft beer without calling it that. With names like ‘The Porter’, ‘The IPA’ and ‘The Rauchbier’, their beers are straightforward and unpretentious. That swagger and self-confidence makes them quintessentially London, a city that holds a prominent place in beer history.
Why us? After visiting them in London, we immediately fell in love with their unique style. They preserve what’s great about the English beer tradition and bring it into the 21st century.
Kristof’s favorite beer: “London Black, an English porter at 4.4%. That’s the kind of beer I want to get on tap everywhere, with a full and creamy texture, but one that you can drink one after the other.”
Joos’ favorite beer: “The Porter of 6.7%. An accessible and delicate beer without too many frills.”
